YOUR CONTRACT

Your Contract

The Master Agreement governs your working conditions, grievance rights, discipline, leave, hours, and official time. Every bargaining-unit employee is covered — whether or not you are a dues-paying member.

If a supervisor tells you something that does not match the contract, the contract controls. Article 2, Section 2 says it directly: where a Department regulation conflicts with this Agreement, the Agreement governs.

⚠ DEADLINES ARE SHORT.

Do not sit on a problem. Grievance deadlines under Article 43 are short and strict. If you miss the window, the Agency can refuse to hear the case no matter how strong it is. If something has happened, contact us the same week — not the same month. We would far rather tell you there is nothing to grieve than tell you it is too late.
